The Nebraska soccer team produced 10 Academic All-Big Ten selections for 2014 when the conference released its list on Wednesday, Dec. 10.
Seniors Samantha Areman and Jourden Casey each earned their third honor from the conference. Areman, a Firth, Neb., native, is majoring in marketing and art. Casey, an Omaha, Neb., native, is an advertising and public relations major at Nebraska.
Mayme Conroy, Caroline Flynn, Katie Kraeutner and Jaylyn Odermann each made their second appearance on the list. First-time Academic All-Big Ten honorees include Courtney Claassen, Caroline Gray, Sydney Miramontez and Kelly Schatz.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, student-athletes must be letterwinners who are in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
