Lincoln, Neb.- Nebraska junior Nicole Schwery earned Big Ten Diver-of-the-Week honors Tuesday afternoon following her performance at the Mizzou Invitational last weekend.
Schwery earned her first victory of the season in the platform dive with a score of 269.20. The junior also earned a second-place finish in the three-meter dive (314.00) and a fourth-place finish in the one-meter dive (304.75).
Tuesday marks the first time Schwery has been honored by the Big Ten. Schwery's award will mark the third time a Husker has been named Diver-of-the-Week in 2014-15, with the two others being earned by sophomore Anna Filipcic.
Schwery and the Husker divers will be back in action Friday, Dec. 5, as the Nebraska divers will be competing in Iowa City, Iowa, at the Hawkeye Invitational.
