Huskers Ranked Seventh

The Nebraska rifle team is ranked No. 7 on this week’s Top 20 Poll after competing in a pair of matches this past weekend in Alaska.

On Nov. 22, Denise Martin fired a career-best smallbore score of 587 against Kentucky. Then on Nov. 23 against Alaska-Fairbanks, Rachel Martin broke the program’s air rifle score with a 597. Despite great performances, the Huskers fell short in both matches, finishing 2014 with an overall record of 6-3.

The Huskers won’t compete again until Jan. 17 when the team travels to West Virginia.
