Boyer, Erhart Enter Third Round of Singles Play

Minneapolis, Minn.- Dusty Boyer and Linus Erhart remain in singles competition to play in the third round of competition on Sunday. Boyer is seeded at the number one position and will face the number ten seeded Matt Hagan of Iowa. The two will play Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. Boyer began with a bye and then played Minnesota's Eric Frueh where he won 4-6, 6-2, 6-2.

Linus Erhart started by playing Jake Jacoby of Iowa and won 6-2, 6-4 and continued on to defeat Michigan's Kevin Wong who is seeded at the number 13 position going 6-4, 6-1. Erhart will play the number four seed, John Mullane of Michigan State Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. 

Court Clark took on Wisconsin's Lamar Remy where he was defeated 1-6, 1-6. MarcHerrmann played Michigan States Mac Roy and won 6-2, 7-5 but follwed in a defeat against the sixth seeded, Mateus Silva, of Purdue 6-7, 2-6. Chris Schindler faced the fifteenth seeded, Alex Pasareanu, of Northwestern where he lost 2-6, 1-6. Chris Hobgarski played Wisconsin's Jose Carranza and won 6-4, 6-4. He then took on Matic Spec of Minnesota who is the number three seed where he suffered a loss 2-6, 1-6. Andrew Dzulynsky faced Iowa's Andres Estenssoro where he lost 2-6, 6-7, coming close to a third set. Scott Elsass took on Michael Dube of Michigan State where he also suffered a loss going 2-6, 4-6. Bradford Zitsch played in two close sets against Jeremy Lynn of Minnesota going 5-7, 6-7. Vasilis Stavropolous played Iowa's Dominic Patrick where he lost and went 1-6, 2-6.

In consolation play Court Clark began with a bye and will play Jasper Koenen of Michigan State Sunday morning. Chris Schindler played Michael Sinha of Wisconsin and will continue on due to Sinha being injured. He will play Jeremy Lynn of Minnesota. Andrew Dzulynsky will coninue to the second round due to a bye and will play Michael Dube of Michigan State. Scott Elsass began with a bye and will play Andres Estenssoro of Iowa. Bradford Zitsch defeated John Zordani of Northwestern going 6-1, 3-6, 1-0. Vasilis Savropolous began with a bye and will play Iowa's Nils Hallestrand.
