NU Heads to Tennessee

The seventh-ranked Nebraska rifle team prepares for another series of away matches as it travels to Tennessee this weekend to face Memphis on Nov. 1 and Ohio State on Nov. 2.

In this week’s Top 20 Poll, Memphis is ranked No. 9 and Ohio State is ranked No. 8. Last season, the Huskers competed against each team only once during the regular season and came away victorious both times.

The Huskers are coming off a bye week, but prior, the team defeated both NC State and Army in South Carolina. On Oct. 18, the Huskers took down NC State by a score of 4,653 – 4,595.  Rachel Martin led the way, firing top scores in both disciplines.  On Oct. 19, NU outshot Army by a score of 4,659-4,620. Denise Martin and Jaycee Carter scored high marks to help the Huskers get the win.

Both matches will take place in Memphis and are set to begin at 8 am.
