Huskers Jump Two Spots in Poll

The Nebraska rifle team is ranked sixth on this week’s Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association Poll.  The Huskers jumped two spots since last week after defeating NC State and Army this past weekend.

On Oct. 18, NU beat NC State by a score of 4,653-4,595. Rachel Martin led the Huskers in both smallbore and air rifle.  The following day, the Huskers topped Army by a score of 4,659-4,620.  Jaycee Carter and Denise Martin were the top performers of that match for Nebraska.

The Huskers are 4-1 heading into a bye weekend. Nebraska competes next on Nov. 1 at Memphis.  The match is set to begin at 8 am.
