Roeder Named All-Star MVP

Nebraska relief pitcher Josh Roeder recently played in the Coastal Plain League All-Star Game and was named Defensive Player of the game. A member of the east squad that fell 7-5, Roeder earned the honor after posting a perfect inning of relief with three strikeouts.

Roeder has been playing for the Edenton Steamers this summer, along with fellow Huskers Blake Headley and Jake Placzek. Entering the all-star break Roeder had eight saves in 14 appearances, while posting 28 strikeouts in 14.0 innings of work.
