Lincoln - Nebraska enters the 2013-14 season ranked No. 6 in the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association Top 20, released recently by the CRCA.
Coach Stacy Underwood will lead the Huskers in her second season as Nebraska’s head coach. Last season, Underwood guided Nebraska to a seventh-place finish at the 2013 NCAA Championships.
West Virginia earned the preseason No. 1 ranking in the coaches poll, garnering 12 of the 16 first-place votes in the poll. The Huskers will get an early look at the Mountaineers when they come to the NU Rifle Range for Nebraska’s season-opening match on Oct. 12.
West Virginia will be the first of a full slate of ranked foes for the Huskers, including No. 2 Kentucky, No. 4 TCU, No. 5 Army, No. 7 Air Force, No. 9 Murray State and No. 10 Ohio State.
