Huskers Sign Illinois Bowler Zabierek

Lincoln—Not even a week after the Nebraska bowling team won its fourth NCAA National Championship, Head Coach Bill Straub was back to work recruiting for next season, receiving a signed L.O.I. from Briana Zabierek.

A native of Lockport, Ill., Zabierek will join the Huskers along with fellow signee Gazmine Mason this coming fall.

Zabierek has had a tremendous high school career to date at Lockport Township High School East, recording a high score of 288 with a high series of 735. Zabierek was a finalist at the Illinois State High School Singles Championships

Briana is planning on majoring in physical therapy while she attends the University of Nebraska.
