Lincoln, Neb. - Five Nebraska track and field All-Americans participated in the 28th annual Cornhusker State Games Opening Ceremonies on Friday, July 20. During their time at the event, Tyler Hitchler, Miles Ukaoma, Morgan Wilken, Chad Wright and Chris Phipps interacted with numerous kids and stood as representatives during the oath of athletes and torch lighting ceremony.
"They were well in tune with the spirit of the event," Dave Mlnarik, Executive Director of the Nebraska Sports Council, said. "Watching them high-five the track kids during the parade of athletes, snap photos of the skydivers, and dance with the kids during the concert, was fun for everyone."
