Huskers Add One Shooter for Next Season

Lincoln - Head Coach Morgan Hicks announced the signing of Denise Martin to the Nebraska rifle team for the 2012-13 season on Monday.

"We are thrilled to have Denise join our team next year," Hicks said. "She is an amazing shooter and will contribute a huge deal to our team. Denise will be a great fit with her scores and her personality."

Martin is a Chewelah, Wash., native and Hicks said that the team can't wait until next year when she is around.

"Denise has a strong background in both air rifle and smallbore and has some huge match experience as she was on the U.S.A. team and has traveled to some world matches," Hicks said. "I have no doubt that Denise will be a great contributor to our team scores next year. We cannot be happier that she chose Nebraska."
