The Nebraska rifle team continues its fall campaign when the Huskers travel to Lexington, Ky., for a pair of weekend matches against Ole Miss and Kentucky.
The Huskers are coming off their first weekend of competition, which resulted in an 0-2 record. NU fell to Air Force at NU Rifle Range in the season-opening match on Friday. The Huskers shot 4570 to the Falcons’ 4602.
Nebraska improved in their second match against West Virginia, shooting 4610. However, the Mountaineers scored 4667 to defeat the Huskers.
Ole Miss comes into the match against the Huskers ranked No. 9, while Kentucky is the No. 1 team. The Huskers, who are ranked No. 12, hold a 16-3 advantage over the Rebels in the all-time series. The Wildcats, however, have a 17-9 edge over the Huskers.
