Burkett Powell Memorial Golf Tournament Set for August 27

Lincoln, Neb. - The Nebraska Men's and Women's gymnastics programs would like to remind fans and boosters that the 2011 Burkett Powell Memorial Golf Tournament is right around the corner. The event will take place on Saturday, August 27 at the Ashland Golf Club, located at 16119 Highway 6 in Ashland.

There will be a shotgun start at noon, and the entry fee includes green fees, golf cart, dinner after the round and drink tickets. Following golf, a fried chicken buffet will be served and participants and guests can bid on great Husker items in a silent auction. Cost per team is $340, but there are a limited number of spots available for the event. Checks should be made payable to the Nebraska Gymnastics Booster Club and the deadline is August 15.
