Lincoln – On Thursday, March 24 the Nebraska track and field team announced the addition of 12 incoming student-athletes for the 2012 track and field season. The group will be the first members of NU's squad to compete solely in the Big Ten Conference.
The talented bunch includes three international athletes who have combined to win four national championships and four American preps who have combined to win 11 state titles.
The class is represented by six states, including Nebraska, Texas, California, North Dakota, Illinois and Arizona. Four international countries are also represented, including Serbia, Latvia, Slovenia and Hungary.
