Marlborough Earns Spot on Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Season

Sophomore Morgan Marlborough has earned another national award as she earned a spot on the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Season following her 18-goal, 12-assist campaign in 2010. Marlborough is one of 33 players on the list.

A year after being named to the Top Drawer Soccer All-Rookie Team, Marlborough was selected for Third Team honors as she ranked among the top five scorers in the NCAA throughout the season. A two-time Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, Marlborough became the first player in league history to lead the conference in points (44), goals (16) and assists (12). She is one of four Big 12 players on the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Season, joining Oklahoma State's Adrianna Franch (1st Team, GK) and Melinda Mercado (3rd Team, D) and Texas A&M's Rachel Shipley (3rd Team, M).

Last week, the Lee's Summit, Mo., native was awarded as a 2010 ESPN Academic All-American, adding to Nebraska's nation-leading total (278). Marlborough is only the 12th student-athlete in school history to gain the honor as a sophomore.
