The Nebraska swimming team defeated the South Dakota Coyotes in Vermillion, SD, 142-95. The Huskers won eight of the thirteen events in route to the win Friday evening. The Huskers have four duels left on the season including Saturday's against South Dakota State.
Winners on the day include Ariel Weech, who set a pool record in the 50-yard freestyle with a her leg of the 200-yard freestyle relay. Her time of 26.88 broke the record at the DakotaDome pool. Other winners on the day were Morgan Flannigan, Meredith Matthies, Shannon Guy, Brandie Kavalec and Bailey Bolinske. The Husker squad also captured the 200-meter freestyle relay.
Seven Huskers finished in second-place at the duel. Thirteen Huskers finished second or better, leading the Huskers to the duel win.
The Huskers wrap up their road trip against South Dakota State Saturday, Nov. 20 at the Stanley J. Marshall HPER Center Pool at 2 p.m. in Brookings, S.D.
