Huskers Head to Tulsa for D?Novo/ITA All-American Championship

The Nebraska men's tennis team will continue its' fall season on Saturday, Oct. 2, when they travel to Tulsa, Okla., to play in the 2010 D'Novo/ITA All-American Championship hosted by the University of Tulsa. The nine-day tournament will run through Oct. 10, with all matches being played at the Case Tennis Center. The tournament will crown an individual singles and doubles champion.

The Huskers will send four of their top players to Tulsa, including No. 49 Calin Paar, No. 61 Christopher Aumueller, Benedikt Lindheim, and Andre Stenger. Paar and Aumueller will make up one of the Huskers' doubles squads, while Stenger and Lindheim will make up the other.

Lindheim, who leads the team with five singles victories this fall, will look to continue his hot play this weekend. The junior has won at least two matches in each of the first two tournaments this fall, and advanced to the quarterfinals of the A-1 singles bracket of the Virginia Ranked Plus One Tournament last weekend.

Aumueller, who played in the top spot for a majority of last season for NU, will see his first action this fall in singles play on Saturday after being limited the first two tournaments because of an injury. The junior finished the spring season with 10 victories while playing at the No. 1 spot.

Pre-qualifying matches will run from Saturday, Oct. 2, through Wednesday, Oct. 6. Main draw action will start on Thursday, Oct. 7, with the championship matches set for Sunday, Oct. 10.
