Lindheim Falls in Second Round of All-American Championships

Tulsa, Okla.--- Nebraska junior Benedikt Lindheim saw his run at the D'Novo/ITA All-American Championships come to an end in the second round of the Main Draw on Thursday, Oct. 7, in Tulsa, Okla. The Husker finished the tournament with an overall record of 7-2 after starting the tournament in the Pre-Qualifying bracket on Oct. 2.

Lindheim kicked off the Main Draw in impressive fashion defeating No. 37 Casey Watt (Notre Dame) in straight sets 6-4, 6-4. The win marked Lindheim's team-leading tenth victory of the fall season.

Lindheim's second round match would place him against one of the nation's top rated players in Bradley Klahn (Stanford). Klahn entered the tournament as the No. 3 rated player in the country and defeated Lindheim 6-3, 6-3, to end his tournament in the second round.

Overall, the Huskers won a combined 12 matches at the All-American Championships. Nebraska will return to the court for its last tournament of the fall season on Oct. 21 when they travel to Norman, Okla., to play in the ITA Regional Championships.
