Normal, Ill. - The Nebraska men's golf team shot a team total of 308 in the first round of the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate on Saturday, while the second round was suspended due to darkness. The Huskers currently sit in a three-way tie for third with Akron and Iowa State. Illinois is leading the trio of teams by six shots.
Brett Nymeyer led the way for the Huskers with a four-over par 76 after 18 holes at Weibring Golf Club. Mike Coatman and Andrew Wyatt each shot 77s, and sit in a tie for 14th place in the 93-man field. Sitting in a tie for 23rd is Scott Willman and Austin Zimmerman, who each added 78s to the NU total.
Austin Miller of Creighton leads the way by one shot after his even-par round of 72.
The second round will resume at 8:45 a.m. on Sunday, with the final 18 holes following.
