The Husker Home Run Club is inviting the public to have breakfast with the Nebraska baseball program on Saturday, Oct. 9, at Hawks Field.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and give fans a chance to watch the Huskers practice as the team goes through its 2010 fall drills. Fans will be able to get inside look at the Nebraska baseball program by touring the locker room and meeting the players and coaches, while kids will also have a chance to run the bases at Hawks Field. Breakfast with danishes, muffins, juice and coffee will be available
The event is free for Husker Home Run Club members and all children under the age of 12, but $5 for non-members. The Husker Home Run Club will have membership information and merchandise available for fans to purchase items.
The meet-and-greet event is one of the first opportunities to see the 2011 Husker baseball team before its annual Red/White Series from Oct. 14-16.
