Huskers to Host Tryouts for Practice Squad

The Nebraska women's basketball team will be holding open tryouts for male volunteers to play on its men's practice squad at the Bob Devaney Sports Center on Tuesday, Sept. 21, at 5 p.m.

Interested players can enter through the Lower South doors at the Devaney Center.

All male practice squad members must meet NCAA eligibility guidelines for student-athletes.

Practice squad members are volunteers, but they do have an opportunity to receive free gear and apparel during the season. Practice squad members receive instruction from the Nebraska coaching staff, which offers the players an excellent opportunity to learn more about the game while helping the 2010 Big 12 champion Huskers prepare for the upcoming season.
