Seven Huskers Earn Academic Honor

Lincoln, Neb.--- The Nebraska men's tennis team placed seven student-athletes on the Big 12 Commissioner's  Spring Academic Honor Roll.

Current Huskers Christopher Aumueller, Taylor Boney, Calin Paar and Brandon Videtich were all honored for their work during the spring semester. Boney earned a spot on the honor roll for the fifth time in his career while working towards his degree in biological sciences. Aumueller is making his fourth appearance on the Honor Roll, while Paar and Videtich each earned the honor for the second time.

Francois Van Impe, who finished his career at Nebraska last season, is making his seventh appearance on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll while working to earn his degree in business administration. Former Huskers Hendrik Stahmer and Renato Melo, who both finished playing for NU in 2008, were honored by the Big 12.

Overall, the Nebraska athletic program produced 328 honorees on the Big 12 Commissioner's Spring Academic Honor Roll, including 42 student-athletes with perfect 4.0 grade-point averages. To earn a spot on the honor roll, a student-athlete must produce a 3.0 semester GPA.

During the 2009-10 academic year, Nebraska produced a Big 12-record 687 honor roll selections in the fall and spring semesters combined.
