Huskers Release Tentative 2011 Schedule

Lincoln, Neb. - Although a 2011 schedule has not been set in stone, the Nebraska men's gymnastics team looks to host four competitions at the Bob Devaney Sports Center during the 2011 regular season.

NU hopes to play host to Air Force on Saturday, Jan. 29, Oklahoma and UIC on Saturday, Feb. 12 and Minnesota and Iowa on Saturday, March 19. The team also hopes to compete in a double dual with the Nebraska women's gymnastics team against Stanford on Sunday, March 6. Due to possible scheduling conflicts, the Huskers may have to change their Saturday competitions to Sunday meets.

The Huskers, who have opened their season at the Rocky Mountain Open for seven-consecutive seasons, will continue the tradition during the 2011 regular season, as they will travel to Colorado Springs, Colo., for the RMO on Jan. 15. NU will compete against familiar foes Air Force, Stanford, Oklahoma, UIC, Minnesota and Iowa during the 2011 season, but will also add Illinois to its schedule. Nebraska and Illinois will matchup for the first time since the 2001-02 season.

Air Force will host the 2011 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championship on Saturday, April 2, at 3 p.m. Central, while Ohio State will host the 2011 NCAA Championships on Thursday, April 14, through Saturday, April 16.
