Wyatt Tied for 10th at Big 12 Championship

Trinity, Texas - At the midway point of the Big 12 Championship, the Nebraska men's golf team is in eighth place at Whispering Pines Golf Club. The Huskers scored a nine-over-par 585 and are 20 strokes behind co-leaders Texas A&M and Oklahoma State.

Junior Andrew Wyatt led the Huskers on day one. Wyatt posted back-to-back rounds of 71 to finish the day at two-under-par 142 and in a tie for 10th. Brandon Crick scored 73 and 71 to finish at 144 and in a tie for 16th.

Brett Nymeyer is in 40th after following up his first-round 71 with a 78 for a 149 total. Mike Coatman is tied for 45th at 152, and Scott Willman is tied for 54th at 155.

Texas Tech's Chris Ward leads the field at 10-under 134. Texas's Boby Hudson is in second at 135, while Baylor's Lorenzo Scotto rounds out the top three individuals at 136.

Track the third round live on Saturday at Golfstat.com. The golfers will play 18 holes beginning at 8:00 a.m., and the final round will conclude the tournament on Sunday.
