Crick Tied for First at Mizzou Intercollegiate, Huskers in Second

Columbia, Mo. - The Nebraska men's golf team is in second place at the Columbia Orthopaedic Group Mizzou Intercollegiate Monday at The Club at Old Hawthorne. The Huskers scored a 572 (-4) total and are just one stroke behind Kansas State for the lead.

Senior Brandon Crick recorded a five-under-par 67 in the first round and a 73 in the second round to tie for first heading into Tuesday's final round. Crick's 140 (-4) has him tied with three other golfers. Following that group is Husker junior Mike Coatman, who scored a 141 (-3) to sit alone in fifth. Coatman recorded a 69 in the first round and followed that with a 72 in the afternoon.

Andrew Wyatt is tied for 19th, thanks to a second-round 71 that boosted his total to 146 (+2). Brett Nymeyer and Scott Willman are tied for 36th at 149 (+5).

With the Big 12 Championships only a week and a half away, the Mizzou Intercollegiate is serving as a tune-up for the Big Red. The field features a distinct Big 12 favor, as Kansas State, Missouri, Kansas and Iowa State are all competing. All five Big 12 schools are in the top six in the team standings heading into the final round.
