Meet Information

 

?         Final entries must be declared no later than April 6th, at 7:00 PM CDT.

 

New NCAA Rule:  Section 1.  Misconduct:  Misconduct is any act of dishonesty, unsportsmanlike conduct, unprofessional behavior or breach of law occurring at the locale of the competition or warm-up that discredits the event or intercollegiate athletics.  Misconduct includes the intentional reporting of false marks for entry purposes.  Acts of misconduct are subject to reprimand or ejection by the referee or meet management.

 

ONLY MARKS FROM THE 2009 OUTDOOR OR 2010 INDOOR OR OUTDOOR SEASON WILL BE ALLOWED.

 

ANY ENTRIES WITHOUT A PEFORMANCE DATE AND LOCATION WILL BE ELIMINATED IMMEDIATELY.

 

  1. Entry Fees

?      $15.00 per individual and/or relay, not to exceed $250 per team. 

?      Combined team entry fee not to exceed $500 for dual gender programs. 

?      Entry fees MUST be paid online at aspimeetz.com at the time of declaration.

 

  1. Team Scoring ? None

 

3.     Entry Limitations ? Unlimited in the running events, 3 per school in the field events.

 

  1. Packet and Heat Sheet Pickup is available the day of meet at Ed Weir Stadium at Gate 16,

 

  1. Relay Cards are due 30 minutes before the start of the 4x100 and 4x400 Relay ? turn them into the press area/meet headquarters located at Gate 15 in Memorial Stadium.  PLEASE HELP US RECOGNIZE YOUR ATHLETES DURING THE COMPETITION BY TURNING IN YOUR RELAY CARDS PROMPTLY.

 

  1. Check-in ? Track Athletes check in 30 minutes prior to your event on the track.  Pick up your hip numbers at the north side doors of garage building.  Ten minutes prior to your event, report to the clerk of the course at the start area.  Field event athletes are to report to the head event official 45 minutes prior to your event.

 

  1. Implements will be weighed by the Weights and Measures Certifying Official at the weighing area starting 1 hour prior to the start of the event.  Implement certification will be located in the garage building in the southeast corner of the track.

 

  1. Results will be available as soon as possible after the meet is completed.  Results will be posted during the meet on the Southeast corner garage door.  A formal copy of the results will be made available on our website at www.huskers.com

  1. Shower Facilities are available in the Coliseum which is located at the south east corner of the track.  You are responsible for your own valuables.  Please being your own towels.

 

  1. Facility Restrictions.  The use of ?” pyramid spikes will be strictly enforced.  No marking chalk will be allowed on track or runways.

 

  1. Pre-Meet Warm-Up Area ? The track is open for general warm-up from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm and 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, April 10th.

 

  1. Training Room Facilities are located at the east end of the track in the Coliseum.  Enter at ground level behind the east storage garage.

 

  1. Team Parking is located in the loop south of the track or in surface lot north of track at 14th and Holdrege Street.

 

**SPECIAL NOTE.  The Hammer Throw will be held on Friday at our new throwing facility.  Nicknamed “The Rock”, it is located on Antelope Valley Parkway, east of Virginia Street.

?         Athletes in the unseeded sections of the Hammer Throw will be allowed 4 throws.

?         Athletes in the seeded sections of the Hammer Throw will be given 3 preliminary throws, then a short break, and 3 final throws.

 

Officials and handicapped spectators will be the ONLY vehicles allowed to park at “The Rock”.  All other spectators, athletes and coaches should park in Lot 6 and cross the pedestrian bridge to gain access to “The Rock”.  Lot 6 is located on Antelope Valley Parkway, across the street from UNL Transportation Services.

 

Athletic trainers, water, restroom facilities, implement check-in and spectator seating will be available at “The Rock”.
