Crick Featured in Big 12 Student-Athlete Spotlight

Nebraska senior men's golfer Brandon Crick was featured by the Big 12 Conference this week in its student-athlete spotlight on the conference web site, Big12Sports.com.

Crick, who recently won the Jackrabbit Invitational and leads the Huskers with a 71.89 stroke average, shared his thoughts on transferring from Gonzaga to Nebraska and his successful summer on the amateur circuit last year.

Crick and the Huskers rolled to the Jackrabbit Invitational title on March 16, winning by 15 strokes in Primm, Nev. The tournament marked the Huskers' first victory in four years.

Golfweek.com took notice of the Huskers' win, publishing this article after the tournament. The win helped vault the Huskers to No. 83 in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin ratings.

The Huskers, who have finished in the top three in four out of nine regular season tournaments, are at Wichita, Kan., for the Diet Pepsi/Shocker Classic next Monday and Tuesday.
