Men's Basketball Postseason Banquet set for April 7

Fans are encouraged to join the basketball program and the Nebraska Athletic Department as they say farewell to four seniors at the 2010 Men's Basketball Postseason Banquet. This year's banquet will be held on Wednesday, April 7 at 6 p.m. at Lincoln Station in the Haymarket in downtown Lincoln.

Join the coaching staff, administration, basketball team and other Nebraska fans to honor the 2009-10 team. Seniors Ryan Anderson, Sek Henry, Ben Nelson and student assistant Chris Balham will be featured during the evening, which will highlight their career accomplishments. The group helped Nebraska to 70 wins over the past four seasons while making two postseason appearances, including last season when the team earned its first .500 record in Big 12 play in a decade.

Individually, Anderson ended his career ranked among the all-time top 10 in 3-pointers, 3-point percentage, steals, games started and games played, while also ranking in the top 25 for points, rebounds and assists. Henry also joined Anderson in the top 10 all-time for games started and played, and ranked in the top 15 for assists while playing every game over the past four seasons. Balham served as a starter last season before injuries cut his career short, forcing him to serve as a student assistant coach this year. Nelson was a key contributor in practices and in the weight room for the Huskers each of his four seasons under coach Doc Sadler.

Following dinner, the banquet will include highlight and feature videos of the season, with a special tribute to careers of these four seniors. Coach Sadler will also speak about the season and the seniors, and will present the Jack Moore Award, which is given annually to the team MVP.

Cost for the banquet is $25 per person. Parking is available in the metered parking lot south of Lincoln Station or in the adjacent north lot at minimal cost. Attire for the evening is business dress.
