Huskers Place 14 on Honor Roll

Fourteen Nebraska softball players were named to the 2009 Big 12 Commissioner's Fall Honor Roll for maintaining at least a 3.0 grade-point average during the semester.

Highlighting the list was junior right-hander Robin Mackin, who posted a perfect 4.0 GPA in the fall semester to maintain her 4.0 cumulative GPA. Mackin has been named to the honor roll in each of her two semesters at Nebraska, while juniors Julie Brechtel and Heidi Foland each made the list for the fifth time in five semesters. Other repeat selections included sophomores Ashley Hagemann (second selection) and Nikki Haget (third selection).

Four Huskers were also named to the honor roll for the first time in their careers, including junior Tori Tyson, sophomore Jamie Gay and freshmen Keela Scott and Megan Southworth.

Former Huskers still taking classes who maintained at least a 3.0 GPA to earn a spot on the honor roll included Amanda Duran (second selection), Molly Hill (ninth selection), Meghan Mullin (ninth selection), Brittany Pascale (fifth selection) and Darcy Rutherford (third selection).
