Huskers Head to College Station for Big 12 Championships
The Nebraska swimming and diving team finishes its regular season this week as it travels to College Station, Texas, for the 2010 Big 12 Championships. The Huskers finished the season with a 4-3 dual record, including a 1-2 mark in the Big 12. Among Nebraska's other accomplishments in the 2009-10 regular season were a first-place finish at the Husker Invitational and a third-place finish at the Missouri Invitational. NU earned four dual wins for the sixth time in the last seven seasons.

College Station is hosting the Big 12 Championships for the first time since 2007, where the Huskers earned a fifth-place finish. The University of Missouri hosted the event last season in Columbia, Mo., where Nebraska finished sixth.

The Huskers finished their home schedule strong this season, winning their final four home duals after dropping their first against Illinois. Nebraska also won the Husker Invitational in Lincoln. NU's last home victory came against Big 12 foe Iowa State, as the Huskers rolled past the Cyclones 177-123 on Senior Day.

NU finished sixth place at last year's Big 12 Championships in Columbia, although several Huskers put in memorable individual performances. Overall on the week, 82 career-best times were set, 26 NU career top-10 times were set (including Mariah Hutchinson's school-record time in the 100-yard butterfly) and the Huskers had nine top-10 finishes.
