Huskers Move to 10th in National Rankings

Lincoln - Despite advancing to 5-0 and posting a score of 194.70 over the weekend against Missouri, the Nebraska women's gymnastics team fell to 10th nationally in the latest GymInfo poll released Monday. The poll, which is calculated by average team score, also ranks NU third in the South Central region and second in the Big 12 Conference. In addition, the Huskers are ninth nationally in team vault scoring (49.019), tied for 12th on bars (48.881), 16th on beam (48.531) and eighth on floor (48.975).

Individually, junior Maria Scaffidi is tied at 16th on floor with teammate Lora Evenstad (9.85). Scaffidi also comes in at 23rd in the all-around (39.067). Junior Erin Davis is ranked eighth on vault (9.875), and senior Kathryn Howard is ranked at 25th on beam (9.812).

The Huskers hit the road to take on No. 2 Oklahoma on Friday, Feb. 5 at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Okla. Competition is set to being at 7 p.m.
