Fans Invited to Attend Red vs. White Meet

Lincoln ? Husker fans will have the opportunity to watch the 2010 Nebraska track and field team perform at its annual Red vs. White Intrasquad Meet this Friday, Dec. 11, at the Devaney Center Indoor Track. Admission to the meet is free, with the doors opening at 5 p.m. and the meet set to start at 6 p.m.

 

Along with watching some of the top track and field athletes in the country perform, including 2009 NCAA indoor long jump champion Nicholas Gordon, the first 300 children (8th grade and under) will receive a slice of Valentino’s pizza and a Pepsi product that will be distributed by the north entrance at 5 p.m. The young fans (8th grade and under) will also have the opportunity to compete in the 60-meter and 200-meter kid’s races on the track. In addition, there will be an opportunity for youth to meet the team and get autographs, with free posters and schedule cards provided.
