Deadline is Friday for Nebraska Heisman Experience Auction

The deadline to submit a winning bid for two "Nebraska Heisman Experience" packages offered in a special Huskers.com auction is Friday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m. CT.

Each experiential package includes a special viewing of a new Heisman video at the official dedication of the Nebraska Football Experience Room on Friday evening, Nov. 6. Auction winners and their guest will view the new video feature with Husker Heisman winners Johnny Rodgers, Mike Rozier and Eric Crouch.

Each package also includes a special tour of Nebraska's athletic facilties and two tickets in the Nebraska Corporate Sideline seating area for the Saturday, Nov. 7th Nebraska-Oklahoma football game at Memorial Stadium.

In addition, each package includes two on-sideline viewings of Nebraska's famed Tunnel Walk (and two DVDs of that experience), plus two 8x10 photos of you, your guest and all three Nebraska Heisman Trophy winners. Each Heisman winner will sign the four photos on game day.

"This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and we're appreciative that Johnny, Mike and Eric have agreed to make the Oklahoma weekend very special for four lucky Husker fans," said Michael Stephens, NU's assistant athletic director for Marketing, Licensing and Concessions.

Stephens said that whatever revenue is generated through the special auction will be donated to the Nebraska Athletic Department in honor of all three Heisman Trophy winners.

The game-day field-level seats offer a rare experience for fans who love to get close to what's happening. "We've used theses seats for auction one other time, and those fans agreed that the sights and sounds of Nebraska football are so close that you feel like part of the action," Stephens said.

"These seats are like premium dugout seats at a major league baseball game," he added. "You get a whole different sense of the speed of the game, and the physicality of the game because you're taking in everything that's happening, and sometimes that's right before your eyes."

Bidding for each of the two experiential auctions begins at $2,000 with minimum bidding increments of $25 per package.
