Huskers Tie for Seventh at Herb Wimberly

Las Cruces, N.M. - The Nebraska men's golf team wrapped up its fall schedule on Tuesday with a tie-for-seventh finish at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate at the New Mexico State University Golf Course. The Huskers shot a final-round 283 and finished at 853 for the tournament.

Brandon Crick led NU with a tie-for-fourth finish, his third straight top-10 finish this fall. Crick, who led the entire field with 16 birdies, shot a one-under-par 70 in the final round to finish with a career-best total of 206 (-7). Crick's 72.27 fall stroke average leads the team.

Scott Willman tied for 19th for the Big Red. Willman shot a career-low 68 in the final round and finished with a career-best 211 for the tournament.

Brett Nymeyer tied for 41st with a 217 total, his best of the season. Andrew Wyatt finished in a tie for 53rd at 219. Mike Coatman rounded out the Husker lineup in a tie for 59th at 221.

UNLV won the team title with an 829 team score. New Mexico State's Timothy Madigan was the individual medalist with a score of 204.
