Las Cruces, N.M. - The Nebraska men's golf team is in ninth place after two rounds at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate at the New Mexico State University Golf Course on Monday. The Huskers shot a two-round total of 570 and are 19 strokes behind the leader, UNLV.
Brandon Crick matched his career-low round in the first 18 holes with a five-under-par 66, and is tied for fifth after two rounds at 136. Crick is among a group of six golfers who are within two strokes of the leader, Derek Ernst of UNLV.
Scott Willman, coming off a tie-for-second finish, is tied for 33rd at 143. Willman scored rounds of 70 and 73 on Monday. Brett Nymeyer is tied for 47th with a 145 total. Andrew Wyatt is tied for 54th at 146 and Mike Coatman shot 148, tying him for 67th.
The final round begins with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. (CT).
