Willman Leads Huskers to Second-Place Finish at UMKC Bill Ross Intercollegiate

Kansas City, Mo. -  The Nebraska men's golf team finished second at the UMKC Bill Ross Intercollegiate on Tuesday. The Huskers shot a tournament-best 288 in the final round and finished at 885, five strokes behind the winner, Central Arkansas.

Scott Willman led the Huskers with a career-best tie-for-second finish. The Prairie Village, Kan., native cruised to a career-best 69 in the final round en route to a 217 total. Willman finished six strokes behind the medalist, Dustin Garza of Wichita State.

Brandon Crick finished sixth at 220 after a final-round 73. Mike Coatman was the third Husker to finish in the top ten, as he shot 223 and finished ninth.

Andrew Wyatt climbed the standings with a final-round 72 on Tuesday. Wyatt tied for 11th with a 225. Brett Nymeyer finished 61st with a 243.

Jordan Reinertson, competing as an individual, tied for 37th at 231.

The Huskers have finished in the top three in three of four fall tournaments so far. NU wraps up its fall season Oct. 26-27 at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate in Las Cruces, N.M.
