Columbia, Mo. - The Nebraska swimming and diving team came in sixth place at the Big 12 Relays in Columbia, Mo., on Friday afternoon. The Huskers finished with 31 points, just behind fifth-place Iowa State's 35 points.
Nebraska had three fourth-place finishes at the meet, including in the 3x500-yard freestyle relay, 800-yard freestyle relay and the 3x50-yard breaststroke relay. The Huskers also had seven fifth-place finishes. The Huskers were unable to put together a top-three time against a highly-competitive Big 12 field.
Texas A&M won the meet with 109 points, while Texas came in second with 103 points. Missouri finished third and Kansas fourth.
The Huskers return to Lincoln next weekend for a home dual against Nebraska-Omaha. The meet is scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m., but may be moved due to the Nebraska football game kicking off a home game at 11:30 a.m. the same day.
