Running Back Undrea Sails

On the game overall<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>

“We didn't think we were going to come in and play like that. We thought we were going to come in and play better than that.”

On being shut out

“I never expected that coming in. We had a good game plan coming in, we had a real good practice, so everybody was excited about coming up here and playing. We thought we were going to turn it into a game. But with everything that went on it turned out to be an ugly game.”

On the week off

“This week off is going to help a lot, because we do have a lot of players who are banged up. We're going into conference (play), so we're trying to get ready for that. So this week off is helping a lot, so we can get back on the same page and go out and compete.”

Linebacker Daylon McCoy

On if Nebraska's throwing game surprised the team

“I think it kind of caught us off guard. For the most part, I felt, when they did run the ball inside, we played the run well in the beginning. But I think it kind of caught us off guard, as far as them throwing the ball. But we should have adjusted."

On Nebraska's big plays

“It wasn't miscommunication at all. We just weren't making the plays. We communicated pretty well tonight, as far as who was doing what. We communicated, we got to where we need to be, it was just a matter of execution.”

On the importance of the week off

“We're pretty banged up, I don't want to use that as an excuse, but the week off is pretty vital. We have a lot of guys that are banged up right now. Tonight we were down to a guy that has never played MIKE (linebacker). I think the week off will be pretty important for us.”
