On the rumors he’s heard about his hand injury<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>

“A few. But I try not to listen to them. I kind of know what’s going on, just a little thumb thing. I took a day of rest yesterday. I took snaps in the game and was fine. Oddly enough, I don’t really remember when it happened. I just kind of remember being like, ?That kind of hurts,’ at the beginning of the second quarter.”

On the way the loss helps him as a player

“I think I can learn a lot more from this game than I can the first two games, honestly. Just analyzing things mid-game, making sure that I slow myself down, not speeding it up, not forcing things. I think this game will help me as a player actually.”

On being a part of the 300th consecutive sellout

“It’s exciting. It’s something that is very specific to a place like Nebraska, something that will never be anywhere again, so it’s exciting.”

On how Cody Green looked running the offense in practice on Monday

“Good. Cody gets a lot of reps on most Mondays. Cody did a good job, LaTravis did a good job, and Taylor Martinez really threw the ball real well yesterday, so they all look good.”

On the red zone offense after looking at film

“I think it was just some missed opportunities on our part, just little things that hopefully we can correct all across the board. It happens and hopefully we learn from it and get better because of it.”
