On being a part of the 300th consecutive sellout<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>
“I think it’s going to be cool. There’s a lot of things going on. Just the tradition here and all, it will be fun to be a part of.”
On personal goals this season
“I have different ones for field goals, I’ve just been trying to stay accurate like I’ve been the past few years. Other than that, hit the ball like I want to. Just a lot of small goals that people don’t recognize. For punting, just working on my times and hitting the ball like I want to. Not big things, but they’re small and will add up to your overall performance.”
On running to the right before unleashing his 76-yard punt in the first half against Virginia Tech
“That was not planned at all. I was just in the air and took a look up at the right side and I felt like the guy was coming. I knew there was no one outside of him, so I went around the side and luckily got the ball off.”
On his punting performance
“I like that I’m doing both. I want to be a little more consistent than I have been. It’s just something I’m finally getting more comfortable. I feel like it will improve as I keep going here.”
On if he’d practiced a running punt before
“No. Last game, their punter had done it, so for the scout team I was actually working on it a little bit, just to give our punt return guys a look. But it wasn’t something I practiced.”
