HuskersNside Classic Game of the Week: Nebraska Beats Texas for Big 12 Title

It's been 10 years since Nebraska's last Big 12 Conference football championship, and you can watch that memorable win on Huskers.com.

Nebraska's 22-6 triumph over Texas in San Antonio is the HuskersNside Classic Game of the Week.

Highlights from that 1999 Big 12 Championship Game bring back a lot of memories.

You'll see big plays from three defensive linemen - Steve Warren, Aaron Wills and Loran Kaiser. You'll also see interceptions from Blackshirts Ralph Brown and Dion Booker.  Middle linebacker Carlos Polk delivers some plays that will jar your memory, too.

Offensively, it's fun to watch how explosive Eric Crouch was in 1999, even though he was just a sophomore quarterback.

I-back Dan Alexander shows why he was such a load for any defender to bring down. Then, about the time opponents thought they'd figured Alexander out, here would come Correll Buckhalter, showing he could be as elusive as he was tough.

The highlight reel also features a big punt return by Husker rover Joe Walker.

The 1999 Big 12 championship win was sweet for the 12-1 Huskers because it avenged their only loss that season - 24-20 at Texas.

Nebraska scored a 35-point win over Iowa and a 45-point victory over Cal in its first two games that season. The Huskers had three close calls all season - one-touchdown wins over Southern Miss and Kansas and a 33-30 overtime escape from Colorado in Boulder.

The Huskers ended the season with a 31-21 victory over Tennessee in the Fiesta Bowl.

Take a few minutes and relive that important piece of Husker history.
