Siemert Earns Degree

Former Husker swimmer Lynn Siemert received her bachelor’s degree in Textiles, Clothing and Design during commencement ceremonies at the DevaneyCenter on Saturday, Aug. 15.

 

Siemert was a four-year letterwinner for Nebraska from 2005 to 2008. The Sterling, Ill., native was one of Nebraska’s best sprint freestylers during her time in Lincoln. At the 2005 Big 12 Championships, Siemert made the finals of the 50-yard freestyle to give the Huskers their first finalist in the event at the conference meet since 2001. Siemert led the team in the 50 Free in all four seasons she competed at Nebraska.

 

Seimert was among 17 Husker student-athletes who received their degree on Saturday.
