On the start of practice today
“I feel great. I have a lot of confidence. Coach Pelini and the staff get us on the right path and keep us going in the right direction.”

On the differences between this year and last year
“We just have to adjust to new coaching staff. Once Coach Pelini got in and said his rules and set the attitude of how this program is going to go, we hopped on board and look at us now ? we’re heading in the right direction.”

On Ricky Henry and Derek Meyer
“I tell you what, Ricky Henry is tough as nails. He’s as tough as they come. He competes to a high level that’s unbelievable. Same with Derek Meyer. He’s a hard worker, a really hard worker. He gives everything he’s got and dedicates himself to the program which I love.”

On the accountability of the team
“We have to hold everyone accountable at a high level because everyone is not going to have a good day. That day that you need a kick in the butt to get going, it could come from a freshman or anybody. We just have to hold everybody accountable at a high level, especially when we’re chasing the championship.”
