Crick Leads Nebraska Amateur Championship

After two rounds of play at the 101st Nebraska Amateur at Ironwood Golf & Country Club in Omaha, Nebraska senior men's golfer Brandon Crick is atop the leaderboard.

With the tournament half-over, Crick is at 10-under par after consecutive rounds of 67 Tuesday and Wednesday. He leads John Hurley, the 2009 Nebraska Match Play champion, by one stroke.

Husker sophomore Austin Zimmerman is tied for seventh with a 1-under par 143 total. Former Husker Ryan Nietfeldt is tied for fifth at 142. 

Other current Huskers making the cut include Jordan Reinertson (T-43rd; 152) and Mike Coatman (T-50th; 153).

Thursday's third round begins at 7:30 a.m.
