Nebraska (22-27-1) vs. CSU Bakersfield (10-32)

Nebraska looks to earn a weekend series win this afternoon, as the Huskers take on Cal State Bakersfield beginning at 1:05 p.m. Listen to the game on the IMG Husker Sports Network and on Huskers.com. The game is also live on NET and CBS College Sports. Most importantly, Happy Mother's Day.

2:47 p.m.
The Roadrunners tack on a pair of unearned runs, making it an 8-4 game in the bottom of the sixth

2:31 p.m.
Nebraska continues to climb back, as Khiry Cooper's solo homer makes it a 6-4 game. It is Cooper's first homer since Feb. 21 and one listener is more of fan of Cooper, as he is now in the radio network's drawing for free airline tickets

2:24 p.m.
Hautpman allows a two-out single and avoids further trouble, as the Huskers look to climb back from a 6-3 deficit.

2:18 p.m.
The Huskers get three of the runs back in the bottom of the fourth, as the Huskers score three times, including a two-run homer by Nick Sullivan. The senior now has six homers, including five int he last seven games.

2:07 p.m.
Cal State Bakersfield stikes for five runs, with four coming with two outs, to take a 6-0 lead, as Kyle Richardson belts a three-run homer.

1:45 p.m.
The Huskers get their best chance to score in the bottom of the third, putting runners on first and second with one out, but CSUB starter Jonathan Montoya wiggles out trouble. CSUB 1, NU  0

Nebraska is set down in order in the bottom of the second, while CSUB is retired 1-2-3 in the top of the third. Huskers trail 1-0 after two and a half innings

Cal State Bakersfield gets on the scoreboard on a solo homer by Jeremy Rodriguez, and leads 1-0 after an inning and a half.

1:18 p.m.
The Huskers go down in order in the bottom of the frame. We are scoreless after an inning of work

1:14 p.m.
Yost works out of trouble in the top of the first, getting Richard Escalera to ground into a 3-6-1 DP after the Roadruners had two on with one out.
