Huskers in 10th at Big 12 Championships

Hutchinson, Kan. - The Nebraska men's golf team is in 10th place after two rounds of play at the Big 12 Championships Monday at Prairie Dunes Country Club. The Huskers used a second round of 293 - one of the top-four team scores posted on the day - to finish the day with a 612 total, 31 strokes behind the leaders, Oklahoma State and Colorado.

After going 10-over-par on his first nine holes of the tournament, Brandon Crick shot even par over the next 27 holes and sits in a tie for 17th place at 150 (+10). Mike Coatman is tied for 22nd at 152. Tyler Parsloe is tied for 40th with a 156. Scott Willman (T-50th; 159) and Andrew Wyatt (T-57th; 163) round out the Husker lineup.

Derek Tolan of Colorado and Bill Allcorn of Baylor lead the way at 139.

The second round concluded Monday just before darkness set in. Teams battled temperatures in the 40s and 30 mph winds throughout the day. The third round will begin Tuesday at 8 a.m., and the final round will be played on Wednesday.
