Softball Schedule Changed to Saturday Doubleheader

Lincoln - Forecasted rains throughout the day on Sunday have forced a change in this weekend's Husker softball schedule at Bowlin Stadium. Nebraska and Texas Tech will now play two games on Saturday, with the first contest beginning at 11 a.m. and the second game set for a 2 p.m. first pitch. Sunday's scheduled game has been cancelled in lieu of the doubleheader.

Saturday's second game will still be televised live in the state of Nebraska on NET-1 and NET-HD with Larry Punteney and former Husker KoKo Tacha calling all of the action. Due to the television broadcast, Saturday's second game will not start before 2 p.m., regardless of when the 11 a.m. game concludes.

The newly-scheduled doubleheader marks the final home games of the season for Nebraska. The Huskers will still honor their seven-player senior class on the field at the conclusion of the second game, weather permitting. Fans with tickets to Saturday's regularly scheduled 2 p.m. game can use their ticket for both games. Fans with tickets for Sunday's game can use their ticket for general admission seating into both games of Saturday's doubleheader. General admission seating does include one section of plastic chairback seating near the first-base dugout.

Fans unable to make it out to Bowlin Stadium for the home finale can still follow the action on Huskers.com. Both games will feature the free radio call of play-by-play voice Nate Rohr on Huskers.com, courtesy of the Husker Sports Network. Both games will also have a free live video stream on Huskers.com.

This weekend's series with Texas Tech is a key one for Nebraska, as the Huskers can guarantee at least a .500 conference finish with two victories.
