Huskers One Win Away from NCAA Final

Despite a second-round defeat in yesterday's NCAA championship, the top-seeded Nebraska bowling team worked its way through the elimination bracket to become one win away from the NCAA final.

NU will take on seventh-seeded Delaware State today at 4 p.m. Central in the semifinals for a shot at its eighth national title. Should the Huskers defeat Delaware State, they will advance to the NCAA final at 7 p.m. at Super Bowl Lanes in Detroit, Mich. The final will be broadcast LIVE on ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN360, with a delayed taping on Sunday, April 12, on ESPN.

Nebraska got off to a good start in yesterday's bracket play, with a first-round win against No. 8 Arkansas State, 4-3. However, NU fell to No. 5 Fairleigh Dickinson, 4-1, before entering the elimination bracket. The Huskers continued its quest for a national title in the elimination bracket, defeating both New Jersey City (4-3) and Delaware State (4-2). Nebraska needs to beat Delaware State again this afternoon to capture a spot in the NCAA final.
