Huskers Host Aggies and Longhorns
The Nebraska women’s tennis team returns home after playing its last two matches on the road to face off against No. 43 Texas A&M on Friday, March 27, and No. 27 Texas on Saturday, March 28. Both matches will be played at the NebraskaTennisCenter. The 10-2 Huskers will look to return to the win column after dropping their last two matches, and improve upon their 2-1 Big 12 record.
Nebraska dropped a pair of tough road matches last week, against No. 25 San Diego State and No. 4 Baylor. NU’s match with Texas Tech, originally scheduled to be played this past Monday, was postponed due to high winds in the area. A specific date will be announced later as to when the match will be made up.
Next week, Nebraska travels to Tulsa for a mid-week match with the No. 50 Golden Hurricane on Wednesday, April 1. The Huskers then return home that weekend for its final two home matches of the season, against OklahomaState on Friday, April 3, and against Oklahoma on Sunday, April 5.
Scouting the Aggies
The No. 43 Texas A&M Aggies ride a three-match winning streak as they head into Lincoln this weekend, with wins over Big 12 opponents Texas Tech, OklahomaState and Oklahoma. The young Aggie team has no seniors on its roster, and is led by juniors Christina Amo and Elze Potgieter.
Scouting the Longhorns
The Texas Longhorns, ranked No. 27 in the latest polls, are winners of six straight matches as they travel to Lincoln on Saturday. Texas only has one senior on its 12-person roster, Marija Milic. The Huskers will be searching for their first-ever win against the Longhorns when they meet this weekend.
Net Notes

??? Freshman Mary Weatherholt’s 27 singles wins this season is already tied for fourth on the all-time single season wins list with Amy Frisch. Weatherholt only needs four more singles wins to claim first place on the list, currently held by Sandra Noetzel with 30 wins.
