Goodyear, Ariz. - The Nebraska men's golf team moved to 10th place in the standings after round two of the Desert Shootout at Palm Valley Golf Course on Friday. The Huskers shot a 289 for a 36-hole team score of 579.
Mike Coatman leads NU with a two-under-par 142 after recording his second straight round of 71. Coatman is tied for 30th. Scott Willman is tied for 43rd with an even-par 144.
Andrew Wyatt scored a 72 on Friday to bring his total to 146, which puts him in a tie for 54th. Brandon Crick is one shot back at 147 and is tied for 56th. Austin Zimmerman rounds out the Husker scoring with a 154. Zimmerman is tied for 84th place.
Playing as an individual, senior Mark Pillen is tied for 46th at 145.
Host Denver continues to lead the 14-team field with a 548 and seven-stroke lead over Coastal Carolina.
The tournament wraps up with the final round on Saturday.
